Neighborhoods We Serve in The Colony

The neighborhoods below are only examples. We serve every neighborhood in The Colony, so if yours isn’t listed, call, text or email and we’ll be glad to help. Each association has its own covenants, and those documents change over time. Before you change a bed or planting, ask your HOA manager for the current landscape guidelines. For everyday mowing and upkeep, the City’s code below is the part every Colony homeowner shares.
  • ✔The Tribute: A master-planned lakeside community on a Lake Lewisville peninsula. Its own website lists two golf courses, more than ten miles of hike-and-bike trails, a resort pool and a splash park, and The Tribute Owners Association, Inc. is registered with the State of Texas.
  • ✔Inside The Tribute: The City’s subdivision map and the Tribute’s state-filed management certificate list these sections: Aberdeen, Balmerino, The Gardens, The Lochs, The Glen, Stonehaven, Tullamore Meadows, Somerset, Waterford Point, Westbury and Chelsea Green. All of them sit under the one master association, so its rules apply.
  • ✔Stewart Peninsula: A lakeside community with its own homeowners association, Stewart Peninsula Homeowners Association, registered with the State of Texas and listing Texas Star Community Management as its manager. The City’s map shows its sections as Cottonwood Springs, Cypress Cove, The Cedars, The Heights and Northshore, and its community newsletter mentions family and adult pools.
  • ✔Stewart Peninsula Southshore: A separate section of Stewart Peninsula with its own association, Stewart Peninsula Southshore Homeowners Association, which is also registered with the State of Texas.
  • ✔Austin Ranch: Billingsley’s master-planned community of more than 1,700 acres, which includes homes, townhomes and offices and spans The Colony and nearby cities. The City’s HOA map lists The Parks of Austin Ranch with Goodwin & Co. as its manager, and Austin Ranch Townhomes Homeowners Association is registered with the State of Texas.
  • ✔Austin Waters: The City’s subdivision map lists Austin Waters East in two phases, with Austin Waters HOA on the City’s HOA map. Creekside at Austin Waters Homeowners Association is also registered with the State of Texas.
  • ✔The Legends: Legend Crest, Legend Trails, Legend Bend and Legend Glen: The City’s HOA map lists all four under Legends Texas Homeowners Assoc., and each is a separate recorded subdivision on the City’s map. Legend Crest was recorded in nine phases and Legend Trails in three.
  • ✔The Cascades and Sonoma Grande at The Legends: Both appear on the City’s subdivision map as Legends-area communities. The City’s HOA map lists Cascades HOA, Inc. for The Cascades.
  • ✔Ridgepointe: Recorded in several phases on the City’s subdivision map, with Ridgepointe Homeowners Association, Inc. registered with the State of Texas. The City also has a Ridgepointe Park on Standridge Drive.
  • ✔Northpointe: Recorded in four phases on the City’s subdivision map. We found no association for it on the City’s HOA map, so check your closing papers for any deed restrictions.
  • ✔Village at The Pointe: A recorded subdivision on the City’s map, with Village at The Pointe Homeowners Association listed on the City’s HOA map.
  • ✔Camey Place: A recorded subdivision on the City’s map, with Camey Place Owners Association, Inc. registered with the State of Texas.
  • ✔The Water’s Edge: The City’s HOA map lists Blue Water’s Edge HOA, managed by MAC Group Management, and the State of Texas registry lists The Blue Waters Edge Homeowners Association Inc.
  • ✔Westport Lakeview Villas: A townhome community with Lake Lewisville views, with Westport Lakeview Villas Property Owners Association Inc. registered with the State of Texas.
  • ✔Brentwood Court: A recorded subdivision on the City’s map, with The Bender Group listed as its association manager on the City’s HOA map.
  • ✔Garza Lake Estates, Lago Vista and Lake Ridge Estates: Smaller established subdivisions that appear on the City of The Colony’s subdivision map and in local real estate listings.
  • ✔Original Colony neighborhoods: The City’s subdivision map lists the original residential sections as numbered Colony plats, from Colony No. 1 up through the 30s. We found no HOA for these on the City’s HOA map, so the City’s property code is the main rule to watch.

These are examples, not a complete list. If your Colony neighborhood isn’t named above, we serve it too.

What The Colony’s Code Says About Your Yard

A person may not allow tall grass and weeds to grow higher than 12 inches on their property or in the area from the property line to the adjacent curbline, including alleys and parkways. The City also explains how repeat violations work. If a second violation occurs on or before the first anniversary of the first notice, the City may correct it at the owner’s expense and assess the cost against the property. The City’s utility page has noted a Phase 1 Drought Contingency Plan, so watering limits can apply. Confirm the current schedule with the City before you set your timer. The Colony is in Denton County, where soils run from sandy Cross Timbers loam to dark Blackland clay that shrinks and cracks in dry weather, and turf can look stressed even with a good routine. Green Goat Lawn Services offers regular mowing with trimming, edging and cleanup. Weed control in turf comes through the Annual Fertilizer and Weed Control Program.
